Maternal Health in Guatemala
About This Project
Reaching vulnerable pregnant mothers across rural Guatemala with multiple micronutrient prenatal supplements from MFA's $300K+ specialized aid delivery.
“MFA partners with local health clinics and community networks to reach women in rural Guatemala with the care and nutrients they need for a healthy pregnancy.”
“Healthy mothers mean healthy beginnings.”
Maternal & Child Health Outcomes
Across rural Guatemala, maternal malnutrition remains a silent crisis that shapes the health and future of entire indigenous and farming families. As MFA's inaugural maternal health initiative in Latin America, this program expands life-saving prenatal nutrition beyond traditional geographic boundaries.
Building on our initial shipments of prenatal vitamins, MFA works alongside local health clinics and community health workers to distribute multiple micronutrient supplements to expectant mothers who otherwise wouldn’t have access to essential prenatal care. Each treatment pack provides a full regimen proven to prevent maternal anemia, boost immunity, and support healthy birth outcomes.
