Project Overview: Lifesaving Mobile Healthcare

Hundreds of informal refugee settlements across western rural Idlib lack fixed medical centers. The Al-Yaqoubiyah Mobile Clinic serves as a vital medical lifeline in the Jisr al-Shughur district in Syria, delivering clinical exams, medical diagnosis, and free pharmaceuticals directly to remote families.

The mobile unit provides comprehensive primary care to Al-Yaqoubiyah and surrounding rural villages, sparing patients and the elderly costly and dangerous travel to distant city hospitals.

Clinical Services & Chronic Care Management

Daily Clinical Deliverables:

  • General Clinical Examinations: Diagnosis and outpatient management of common illnesses, seasonal infections, and acute symptoms.
  • Chronic Disease Monitoring: Routine screenings, checkups, and disease management for diabetes, hypertension, cardiology, and internal medicine.
  • Maternal & Women's Health: Routine prenatal monitoring, reproductive consultations, and specialized women's healthcare.
  • Free Mobile Pharmacy: On-site dispensation of essential antibiotics, chronic therapies, and pediatric meds at zero cost.
  • First Aid & Nursing Care: Emergency triage, wound care, burn treatment, and critical stabilization prior to hospital referral.

Dedicated Staff & Mobile Capabilities

The mobile clinic is operated by a dedicated healthcare team comprising a physician, clinical nurse, and sanitation specialist. Outfitted with diagnostic gear, examination beds, and vital emergency kits, the unit functions seamlessly in rugged terrain to ensure equitable medical access.
