A Lifeline for Fadi's Family: Restoring Shelter and Urgent Medical Care for Children of Displacement

Displaced More Than 12 Times

After repeatedly moving in search of safety, Fadi M., his wife, and their seven children are now living in a badly worn and torn tent that provides little protection from the weather.

Fadi lost his livelihood during the war and is currently unemployed. The family does not have adequate mattresses or blankets, and the children often sleep on the ground. Food is also increasingly difficult to afford, and the family reports that the children are showing signs of malnutrition.

Choosing Between Food and Medical Care

One of Fadi's daughters has a thyroid condition that requires ongoing treatment and medical checkups. Both Fadi and his daughter also have significant vision impairment and need prescription glasses.

With very limited resources, the family is often forced to prioritize food over medical care. As the mother explains:

"A small amount of money can feed my children for four days. How can I spend it on a medical checkup? Let my daughter die so her siblings can survive… We just want to eat; we just want to live."
