Restoring Healthcare in a Devastated System

After more than a decade of conflict, over 40% of Syria's hospitals and health facilities remain damaged or only partially functioning. In 2025, MFA's healthcare programs treated approximately 564,000 patients across our network of clinics and partner hospitals in northern Syria.

Our Healthcare Programs

MFA operates and supports primary healthcare centers that provide:

  • Free medical consultations — general medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine
  • Maternal and child health services — prenatal care, safe delivery, and postnatal follow-up
  • Chronic disease management — diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions
  • Fully stocked pharmacies — dispensing essential medications at no cost
  • Mental health support — trauma counseling for conflict-affected populations

The Al Mansoura Center

Our Primary Healthcare Center in Al Mansoura, northeast Syria, is one of the few clinics still providing free medical care in the region. Serving over 30,000 residents, the center has become a lifeline for communities that would otherwise have no access to healthcare.

A Growing Network

In 2025, MFA expanded its healthcare infrastructure by opening new clinics in rural Aleppo and strengthening partnerships with local medical professionals. Our goal: ensure that no Syrian family has to choose between food and medicine.

16.7 million Syrians require humanitarian assistance, with 7.2 million internally displaced. MFA remains committed to being there — one patient at a time.
