World Refugee Day is a reminder that helping displaced families requires more than responding to the initial emergency.

Long after the headlines fade, hospitals need medical supplies, communities need functioning infrastructure, and families need access to safe water, healthcare, and essential services.

For more than a decade, Multifaith Alliance has helped turn local knowledge into action, identifying urgent needs and mobilizing the resources, relationships, and assistance needed to respond.

Today, that work continues across Ukraine, Türkiye, and Gaza, where Multifaith Alliance provides practical, targeted support to communities navigating ongoing crisis, recovery, and rebuilding.

In Ukraine, hospitals continue to care for local communities and internally displaced patients while facing severe pressure on staff, supplies, and resources.

Through our partnership with the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine and Global Gateway Network, medical consumables and essential supplies have reached hospitals and healthcare providers directly on the frontlines of the war.

These are the everyday supplies that keep care moving: wound-care materials, sterile items, orthopedic supports, and other essentials doctors and nurses rely on for patient treatment.

For hospitals working through shortages and extreme operating conditions, support like this matters immediately. It helps medical teams treat patients in time, manage urgent needs, and continue providing care with dignity.

Through our partnership with Razom for Ukraine, this same approach continues: listening to what hospitals and medical teams actually need, coordinating with trusted partners, and helping move support where it can be used immediately.

In southern Türkiye, the 2023 earthquakes devastated Antakya. Entire neighborhoods were destroyed, hospitals were damaged, and recovery remains a long road.

Even now, the need for support is still immense. Despite major efforts by the government and local partners, hospitals in Hatay continue to operate under pressure as they work to restore full care for the patients who depend on them.

Through our partnership with JDC, Multifaith Alliance delivered critical medical equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and EKG devices to Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Hospital, where it helps doctors and staff care for patients in some of the hospital's busiest and most essential units.

This is what recovery looks like on the ground: long, difficult, and still unfinished but made stronger by targeted support where it is needed most.

In Gaza, where displacement, water shortages, and infrastructure collapse have made daily survival increasingly precarious, MFA worked with GlobalMedic to deliver 1,440 Family Emergency Kits to families in central and southern Gaza in December 2025.

Each kit included a water purification unit with a reusable ceramic filter, hygiene supplies, and solar lights. These items help families access safer drinking water, reduce health risks, and manage daily life with greater safety and dignity.

For families facing emergency conditions, support like this helps meet urgent needs in practical, immediate ways.
